StoryTails at the Grantsville Library

The Grantsville Library will hold StoryTails: Children Reading to Dogs on the first and third Mondays of each month from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., beginning on November 2. This program is designed to help children develop confidence in reading. Each child reads to a dog for approximately 15 minutes, with the dog’s handler sitting nearby to give reading assistance if necessary. All dogs are certified by Therapy Dogs International. No registration is required, and parents are asked to remain at the library while their child is reading. The program will not take place on days when the Garrett County schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather.
For more information, call the Grantsville Library at 301-895-5298 or email hannah@relib.net.
