Evening Garden Classes at Oakland
The Ruth Enlow Library will host a series of three evening garden classes beginning in April, presented by the Garrett County Master Gardeners from the University of Maryland Extension Office. All classes will be held at the Oakland Library meeting room on Wednesdays from 6 – 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Attendance at the entire series is not required. April 30: Herbs
May 21: Vegetable Gardening – Start to Finish
July 9: Garden Insects (hands-on)
Participants will receive a $5 certificate to Pleasant Valley Greenhouse, courtesy of the Western Maryland Regional Library – the regional resource center for the public libraries of Allegany, Garrett, and Washington Counties. Certificates are limited to one per person for the series.
